Emma Buxton – Bushfire Planner / GIS Officer

Emma has over two years experience across a broad range of bushfire planning, ecological and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) projects

Emma has recently transitioned into bushfire planning and provides assistance to our Senior Bushfire Planners in preparing bushfire protection assessment reports, fuel management plans and evacuation planning. Emma prepares high quality spatial data analysis utilising a varying assortment of geographic information systems for both government and private clients including environmental, ecological and bushfire assessments, as well as developing cross-sectional mapping, fire behaviour modelling and landscape plans associated with development proposals.

Key project experience includes the preparation of fire management plans for several Council reserves as well as bushfire protection assessment reports for rezoning, subdivision and dwelling construction applications. Emma has also actively maintained a GIS database of ecological survey data for over two years for various regions within New South Wales.
