John Travers – Principle Consultant (Bushfire)

Over the past 30 years John has worked extensively in the environmental field. John commenced his career with the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service, gaining wide experience in conservation management and bushfire management. In his next role as Manager Planning & Research with the Department of Bush Fire Services John was responsible for assisting local government in a wide range of bushfire planning initiatives. Johns experience with these conservation and bushfire authorities cemented his passion for the environment.

For the past 21 years John has been in private practice providing environmental advice to a wide variety of clients in both the private and public sectors.

During this period John has enjoyed participation on catchment management committees, membership of the Independent Hearing & Assessment Panels (since 1998-2014) and especially his involvement with bushfire committees creating greater awareness of the effects of fire upon our built and ecological landscapes.
